In the Anaylze phase of CAM Assist, flat finishing operations can be edited. This can be useful for various reasons including:
- Changing the tool assigned to an operation
- Changing the setup an operation runs in
- Changing the operation used, (for example from a wall to a floor operation)
- Changing the faces that are assigned to an operation
Editing Flat Finishing Operations
To edit a Flat Finishing operation in the Program view, select the Edit button on the right-hand side of the operation row.
In the drop-down menu, select Edit operation
The Edit finishing strategy panel will open.
Finishing operation edit items
Within the Edit finishing strategy panel, there are the following controls:

Edit the Tool assembly used for the operation
- Change Tool assembly used for the operation
- Edit the Tool assembly used for the operation
- Change Setup for the operation
- Change Operation type
- Change the Tool axis for the operation
- Change the selected faces for an operation
After editing is complete, select the Apply button to apply changes. Choose Cancel to abandon edits, and return to the Program operation listing. Select the lock button to unlock the field.
