In your shop, peck drilling might be the preferred method. How can you ensure that CAM Assist will follow this default? This article explains how.
CAM Assist will respect the Operation defaults established in Mastercam.
To open the Operation defaults, go to the Machine section of the Machine Group. Expand the Libraries section and then select the Edit operation defaults button:
Select the Drilling Toolpath, and click on the Parameters row:
In the Cut Parameters section change the drilling mode to Peck Drill:
Set any other details to the Peck cycle as needed:
Apply changes by clicking the green check button at the bottom of the modal.
Changes made to the operation defaults will be applied the next time you run CAM Assist.
