Cycle times within CAM Assist's Analyze phase are primarily estimated based on the time required for tool engagement, cutting, and retraction. However, CAM Assist does not account for the complete rapid travel rates of the machine, the specific limitations of the machine's axial configurations, nor the acceleration/deceleration rates configured within the machine's controller. CAM Assist relies solely on fundamental machine parameter information such as maximum spindle speed, maximum feed rates, spindle torque, and horsepower to compute the feeds and speeds for each operation. Comprehensive cycle time estimations are most accurately obtained through your CAM Package's verification simulator.
