What is a material in CAM Assist?
A material in CAM Assist is the material that is to be machined for example Aluminium, Stainless Steel or Titanium. CAM Assist comes pre-installed with a variety of materials and you can add your own.
Why are materials important in CAM Assist?
Materials are important in CAM Assist because it determines the AI generated feeds and speeds CAM Assist will generate as part of the program.
You are also able to use your own feeds and speeds instead which means material choice doesn't matter.
Where are materials found within CAM Assist?
Materials are found within the 'My Materials' section of CAM Assist which can be found under 'My Shop' in the bottom left corner of CAM Assist under the factory icon.
What else are materials often referred to?
Materials are not commonly referred to by any other name.
