Follow these instructions to add or edit materials in CAM Assist
Create a new material in CAM Assist from scratch in the Add Material modal. An asterisk (*) after the name denotes required fields.
Values are entered in the active units, CAM Assist will convert between units as required.
NOTE - Machines defined by CloudNC cannot be edited.

3. Select the Add material button at the bottom of the form to complete the machine addition. (Select Cancel to abandon the machine addition workflow). NOTE - the Add material button button will not be active if there are required fields missing data. |
Material fields available
- Favorite check box
- Select to make the new material a favourite that appears in the Prepare stage menu
- Deselect to hide in Prepare stage menu
- ISO Classification - Select ISO classification of material from a pre-defined list
- Notes - Freehand notes for the material
Editing a material
User-added machines can be edited within CAM Assist
Properties of user-added machines can be edited within CAM Assist. The fields in the Edit Machine modal have the same meanings as the Add machine form and required fields are validated on save.
