Follow these instructions to add or edit a machine in CAM Assist
Create a new machine in CAM Assist from scratch in the Add Machine modal. An asterisk (*) after the name denotes required fields.
Values are entered in the active units, CAM Assist will convert between units as required.
NOTE - Machines defined by CloudNC cannot be edited.

3. Select the Add machine button at the bottom of the form to complete the machine addition. (Select Cancel to abandon the machine addition workflow). NOTE - the Add machine button button will not be active if there are required fields missing data. |
Machine fields available

Favorite check box
- Select to make the new machine a favourite that appears in the Prepare stage menu
- Deselect to hide in Prepare stage menu

Machine model name - Free-hand name of the machine model name.
Machine name must be unique - Manufacturer - Name of the machine’s manufacturer
- Spindle speed - Minimum and maximum spindle speed of the machine.
- Spindle torque max - Maximum torque of the machine, used in AI cutting parameter recommendations
- Spindle power max - Maximum spindle power of the machine, used in AI cutting parameter recommendations
- Table feed max - Maximum table speed of the machine
- Notes - Freehand notes for the machine
Editing a machine
User-added machines can be edited within CAM Assist
Properties of user-added machines can be edited within CAM Assist. The fields in the Edit Machine modal have the same meanings as the Add machine form and required fields are validated on save.
