CAM Asist comes pre-installed with a variety of materials. You can also add your own. All material types supported by the CloudNC AI cutting data engine are provided in the My Materials page.
Specific materials and alloys used in your factory that are not included in this list can be added and stored for future use, AI cutting data presets will not be recommended for these materials so you will need to define the presets required in the My Tool Libraries page.
Materials listed with the CloudNC logo are standard materials for which AI generated cutting data is available but cannot be edited.
To open My Materials, go to My Shop
The My Materials table lists all standard, custom and in session materials available.
In My Materials, the following selections are available:
- Search materials - Free-hand search of material name
- Filter by ISO class - Quick filtering of material list by ISO classification
- Add material button - Add a new material to CAM Assist from scratch
Materials Table
- Ordered list of materials that match search term and ISO classification filter
- Select - Shows which material is selected for use by CAM Assist
- Favorite - Indicates that the material has been favorited and will appear in the Prepare stage menu
- ISO Classification - ISO Classification of the material
- Notes - Free-hand notes about the material

- Select - Select the material for use by CAM Assist
- Edit - Edit material properties, only enabled for custom materials
- Duplicate - Make a copy of the material ready for editing
- Remove - Remove the material from cloud storage, only enabled for custom materials
