This article covers the download and installation of CAM Assist
Step-by-step instructions
Download the installation file
- Go to the Download page, click on the available installer download and save it to your machine.
- Close your CAM package.
- Open the ‘Downloads’ folder in Windows Explorer.
Running the installer
- Run the installation setup (double-click the .exe file)
The first part of the installation setup is the ‘Welcome’ page.
- Click Next.
- The next part holds the License Agreement (or Terms of Use Agreement).
- Fully read the Terms of Use Agreement.
- Click I Agree to agree with the terms and continue the installation.
- The next part is the ‘Check components’ page for CAM Assist files.
- Check the required components for the installation.
- Click Next.
- The next part is the ‘Check Install Location’ page for CAM Assist files.
- Ensure that CAM Assist will be installed into the correct directory for your CAM package.
- When the installation has completed, a summary page is displayed. Your CAM package will be able to run from the installer with CAM Assist at this stage.
- Ensure the checkbox for ‘Run {Your CAM Package}’ is checked.
- Click Finish.
- Your CAM package will run automatically.
Congratulations, you now have the latest version of the CAM Assist!
🗒️ Note - SolidCAM installation is controlled by SolidCAM.
- Reach out to your provider to have CAM Assist installed for SolidCAM.
